Welcome to the dawn of a new era in living room home theater projection. It is now possible to have 100” or 120” of projected display (four 60” TV’s) in a lighted room using ALR (Ambient Light Rejecting) and UST (Ultra Short Throw) screens.

Traditional projection needs to be in a dark room because outside light washes out the colors and blacks. ALR screens designed for UST have micro shutters on the surface that block the light coming from your ceiling and adjacent windows, and only accept the light coming from the projector underneath it, which then magnifies and reflects the image to your eyes.

Now that we know what type of projector you are intending to use, it is important to understand that not all projectors are made the same. Some can be close to the screen… others a little further away. Knowing the screen size you intend to use will help us determine which cabinet style is the appropriate design for your project.
