How it works

The screen and projector are stored inside the cabinet.

When the system turns on, the screen rises and the UST projector moves into its operating position. When it turns off, both are concealed inside the cabinet.

One-button operation. The screen and projector move together to the positions verified for your selected equipment.

Inside Andromeda

Built specifically for UST projection.

The center compartment protects the projector and maintains the clear projection path required by UST systems.

  1. 01
    Glass-covered UST compartment

Low-iron glass protects the projector while blackout or whiteout film conceals the equipment.

  2. 02
    Amphitheater-shaped compartment

Angled interior surfaces leave the projector’s light path clear while keeping the center compartment enclosed.

  3. 03
    Projection window

A clear window aligns with the lens so the image can reach the screen.

  4. 04
    Universal positioning

Height, distance, alignment, ventilation, and connections are verified for the selected projector.

Configure your cabinet

Build your Andromeda.

Select your equipment and cabinet options. The preview updates as you make choices.

Step 1 of 6

Start with your projector and screen.

Choose the projector brand you own or intend to buy so Aegis can configure the cabinet geometry and cooling correctly. The projector is not included or sold with the cabinet. If you are undecided, Aegis will recommend one based on your room and priorities.

Projector model

Already own an earlier model? Andromeda also supports previous generations from these manufacturers, including the AWOL LTV-2500, LTV-3000 Pro, and LTV-3500 Pro. Choose Other / not sure if your projector is not pictured and Aegis will verify it.

Hover or focus a model to compare it. Aegis confirms the exact chassis, lens position, throw distance, ventilation, connections, and screen geometry during review.

Rising screen

Choose the screen system you intend to use.

Andromeda is engineered for broad rising-screen compatibility. Aegis verifies the cassette, controls, ventilation, mounting, and cabinet geometry before production.

Aegis confirms screen fit before production. Some screen designs may require a cabinet adjustment.

Common questions

Andromeda questions and answers.

Does the $6,999 starting price include the screen?+

The cabinet starts at $6,999. Most customers add the Aegis 120-inch Lift Screen for $2,040. Andromeda can also be engineered around a Screen Innovations lift screen or another rising screen. Aegis verifies the exact cassette, controls, ventilation, and mounting requirements before production.

Will my UST projector work with Andromeda?+

Andromeda uses adjustable projector positioning, but Aegis still verifies the exact projector model, lens location, throw geometry, chassis size, ventilation, connections, and screen before production.

What is the glass-covered projector compartment?+

The projector operates beneath low-iron glass inside the central UST compartment. Blackout or whiteout film conceals the equipment, while a precisely placed projection window gives the lens an unobstructed optical path.

How is the equipment cooled?+

The UST projector compartment includes dedicated cooling. Powered, temperature-controlled cooling can be added to Zone A, Zone C, or both based on the AV equipment installed there.

Can the cabinet be customized beyond these choices?+

Yes. Aegis can plan extension cabinets, fireplaces, record storage, specialized speaker integration, equipment layouts, and other room-specific work. Custom requests are reviewed and priced before production.
