Aegis AV Limited Warranty
Coverage for Aegis-manufactured cabinetry and fabricated components.

This Limited Warranty explains the warranty coverage provided by Titan AV Cabinet Designs LLC, doing business as Aegis AV Cabinets (“Aegis AV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), for Aegis AV-manufactured products sold to the original retail purchaser.

1. Limited warranty designation
This is a Limited Warranty. It does not provide the unrestricted remedies or coverage associated with a full warranty. The limitations, exclusions, claim requirements, and remedies below are part of the warranty.
2. Who is covered
This Limited Warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser of a new Aegis AV-manufactured product purchased directly from Aegis AV or through an authorized Aegis AV dealer.
Coverage is nontransferable and does not pass to a later owner, purchaser, recipient, tenant, property owner, or occupant. Proof of purchase and the product serial number may be required.
Dealer showroom, demonstration, resale, commercial resale, and distributor products are governed by the applicable dealer agreement and order documents rather than this retail warranty unless Aegis AV states otherwise in writing.
3. Where coverage applies
This Limited Warranty applies to covered products located in the continental United States. Service outside that area is available only if Aegis AV agrees in writing, and the customer may be responsible for additional transportation, travel, customs, duties, taxes, or service costs.
Relocating a cabinet does not transfer the warranty to another owner. Damage caused by moving, storage, reinstallation, or relocation is not covered.
4. Five-year coverage for Aegis AV-manufactured products
For five years beginning on the date the covered product is delivered to the original purchaser, Aegis AV warrants that the Aegis AV-manufactured cabinetry and Aegis AV-fabricated structural components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor use and proper installation, care, and maintenance.
Covered items may include cabinet panels, frames, shelves, doors, Aegis AV-fabricated brackets, and Aegis AV-fabricated structural or mechanical assemblies. Coverage applies only to a verified defect in the Aegis AV-manufactured item itself and not to a problem caused by an excluded condition.
5. Third-party electronics and components
Projectors, projection screens, speakers, soundbars, subwoofers, fireplaces, mounts, actuators, motors, fans, cooling components, thermostats, switches, power supplies, controllers, lighting components, glass supplied by others, and other products or components not manufactured by Aegis AV are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty, if any.
The original manufacturer determines the coverage period, eligibility, remedy, claim procedure, required documentation, and responsibility for parts, labor, freight, or shipping for those products. Aegis AV does not enlarge, replace, extend, or guarantee a third party’s warranty.
Aegis AV will reasonably assist the original purchaser with an eligible manufacturer claim for a component supplied or installed by Aegis AV. The customer may be required to work directly with the manufacturer or its designated service provider.
If a failure was caused by Aegis AV’s installation workmanship rather than a defect in the third-party component, Aegis AV will evaluate the installation workmanship under the applicable Aegis AV coverage.
6. What Aegis AV will do
After confirming a covered defect, Aegis AV will choose a commercially reasonable remedy, which may include diagnosis, adjustment, repair, replacement of the defective part, replacement with a comparable part or product, or a refund or credit reflecting the affected product and circumstances.
Aegis AV may use new, refurbished, remanufactured, revised, or functionally comparable replacement parts when the original part is unavailable, provided the replacement is appropriate for the covered repair.
Only the defective part or affected portion of the product will be repaired or replaced unless Aegis AV determines that a broader remedy is reasonably necessary.
7. Labor and freight for approved Aegis AV warranty service
For an approved claim involving an Aegis AV-manufactured item, Aegis AV will pay the reasonable labor and standard freight or shipping costs that Aegis AV authorizes as necessary to perform the approved repair or exchange.
The customer must obtain written authorization before hiring a technician, removing or modifying the product, purchasing replacement parts, or arranging transportation. Aegis AV is not responsible for unauthorized labor, expedited shipping, premium delivery service, travel, lodging, access equipment, construction, wall repair, electrical work, equipment reconfiguration, or other costs not approved in writing.
For a third-party component claim, responsibility for labor, freight, and shipping is determined by the original manufacturer’s warranty. When the manufacturer provides prepaid shipping or another approved remedy, that manufacturer-provided process must be used.
8. Remote diagnosis and service cooperation
Aegis AV may begin with remote diagnosis and may request photographs, video, measurements, serial numbers, controller information, error indicators, installation details, maintenance records, or reasonable troubleshooting steps.
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the product and cooperate with diagnostic, inspection, return-authorization, repair, and freight procedures. Aegis AV may require inspection by Aegis AV, an authorized dealer, the installer, a manufacturer representative, or another qualified service provider before approving a remedy.
9. Return authorization
A return authorization from Aegis AV is required before any cabinet, assembly, or component is returned to Aegis AV. The authorization number and shipping instructions must be followed.
Products shipped without authorization may be refused, returned, or held at the sender’s expense. The customer must package the item as instructed and retain tracking and shipping documentation.
Issuance of a return authorization does not by itself confirm that the condition is covered. Coverage is determined after reasonable inspection and diagnosis.
10. Conditions and damage not covered
This Limited Warranty does not cover a condition or damage caused by:
- Improper installation, removal, reinstallation, relocation, handling, storage, or transportation;
- Accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, vandalism, impact, excessive loading, or use inconsistent with product instructions;
- Outdoor use or use outside a climate-controlled indoor environment;
- Water, flooding, plumbing leaks, fire, smoke, pests, chemicals, corrosive substances, or environmental contamination;
- Excessive or insufficient humidity, extreme heat or cold, direct sunlight, or rapid environmental changes;
- Electrical surge, incorrect voltage, faulty wiring, inadequate grounding, power interruption, network failure, or connected equipment;
- Blocked ventilation, unmaintained filters, improper equipment clearances, excessive heat loads, or failure to follow maintenance guidance;
- Unauthorized repair, alteration, cutting, drilling, refinishing, programming, wiring, replacement parts, or modification, but only to the extent the unauthorized work caused or contributed to the claimed condition;
- Incompatible, incorrectly specified, or subsequently changed projectors, screens, speakers, subwoofers, electronics, or other equipment;
- Inaccurate or incomplete specifications supplied by the purchaser, designer, dealer, contractor, or installer;
- Ordinary wear and tear, routine maintenance, cosmetic aging, or consumable items; or
- A failure in a product or component manufactured by a third party, except to the extent an Aegis AV installation-workmanship defect caused the failure.
11. Natural materials, finishes, and appearance
Wood, veneer, grain, color, texture, sheen, and similar materials naturally vary. Normal grain variation, grain transition between doors or panels, mineral streaks, knots, texture, and reasonable color variation are not defects.
Digital renderings, website images, photographs, printed materials, screen displays, and small finish samples may appear different from the completed product because of lighting, photography, monitor calibration, material batches, grain, texture, and scale. Reasonable differences between these representations and the completed product are not defects.
The warranty does not cover fading, discoloration, checking, warping, swelling, shrinking, cracking, adhesion failure, or other appearance changes caused by sunlight, heat, moisture, humidity, chemicals, cleaners, misuse, improper care, or environmental conditions.
12. Freight damage is handled separately
Damage occurring during transportation is not a manufacturing defect and is handled under the applicable freight and carrier claim procedures.
The recipient should inspect all visible sides of the crate before signing the delivery receipt, photograph the shipment, note visible damage on the carrier’s receipt, retain all packaging, and notify Aegis AV promptly. Concealed damage must be reported within the carrier’s applicable deadline.
Failure to inspect, document, preserve packaging, or timely report shipping damage may affect the available carrier remedy.
13. Maintenance and care
The purchaser must use, clean, ventilate, and maintain the product reasonably and in accordance with instructions supplied by Aegis AV and the manufacturers of installed components.
Filters and ventilation openings must be kept clean and unobstructed. Equipment must remain within appropriate operating-temperature and clearance requirements. Required maintenance may be performed by the purchaser or a qualified service provider unless a particular procedure reasonably requires specialized service.
Failure to perform reasonable maintenance excludes coverage only when that failure caused or contributed to the claimed condition.
14. Unauthorized modifications
An unauthorized modification does not automatically cancel all remaining warranty coverage. However, this Limited Warranty does not cover a failure, damage, incompatibility, safety issue, or service cost caused or contributed to by an unauthorized modification, repair, part, installation, or alteration.
The purchaser should obtain written approval from Aegis AV before cutting, drilling, altering structural members, modifying motorized mechanisms, changing cooling or electrical systems, or materially changing the approved equipment configuration.
15. Replacement products and remaining coverage
Repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period. A repaired or replacement item remains covered for the remainder of the original applicable coverage period or any longer minimum period required by law.
Ownership of a removed part may pass to Aegis AV or the applicable manufacturer when a replacement is provided.
16. How to request warranty service
The original purchaser should contact Aegis AV promptly after discovering a possible covered condition:

The request should include the purchaser’s name, order or invoice number, product model and serial number, installation address, date the condition was discovered, a detailed description, and clear photographs or video when reasonably available.
The purchaser must give Aegis AV a reasonable opportunity to inspect, diagnose, and provide an approved remedy before incurring repair, replacement, removal, installation, freight, or other expenses.
17. Limitation of implied warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranty applicable to an Aegis AV-manufactured product, including an implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is limited in duration to the applicable written warranty period stated above.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to a particular purchaser. Nothing in this Limited Warranty eliminates a right that applicable law does not permit Aegis AV to waive.
18. Limitation of damages
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aegis AV is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from a covered or noncovered condition, including loss of use, lost revenue, lost profits, loss of programming or data, installer standby charges, travel, lodging, or damage resulting from continued use after a problem is discovered.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to a particular purchaser.
These limitations do not exclude liability that applicable law does not permit Aegis AV to limit.
19. No other Aegis AV warranty
No dealer, installer, employee, representative, website statement, rendering, advertisement, or oral communication may enlarge or change this Limited Warranty. A change is effective only if it is contained in a written order-specific agreement signed by an authorized representative of Aegis AV.
Aegis AV dealers and installers are independent businesses unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise. They may not create warranty obligations on behalf of Aegis AV.
20. Governing law and venue
This Limited Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent a warranty dispute may be assigned to a particular court by agreement, exclusive venue lies in the state or federal courts having jurisdiction in Tom Green County, Texas.
Nothing in this section prevents a purchaser from pursuing a remedy in a forum that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.
21. State-law rights
This Limited Warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
